Ingredients
1 lb. spaghetti
1/4 c. finely chopped parsley
2 garlic cloves, minced
Kosher salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
1 (28-oz.) can crushed tomatoes
Freshly ground black pepper
Procedure
In a pot of boiling salted water, cook spaghetti. Drain and keep aside.
In a large pot over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion to pot and fry until soft, 5 minutes. Add chopped garlic and chillies. Add crushed tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper and bring to a simmer. Simmer until sauce has thickened, 8 to 10 minutes. Add mock meatballs, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cover for about 5 minutes. Add the cooked spaghetti and mix all together.
