Ingredients:
400 gm mushroom
1 onion chopped
2 potatoes (medium sized)
1-2 green chillies
1-2 garlic cloves
1 ½ cup bread crumbs
1 tea spoon corn flower
1/2 tea spoon Salt
1/2 tea spoon pepper
1 cup vegetable oil
Procedure:
Start with boiling the potatoes until soft. I used a pressure cooker to boil them. Peel, mash and keep aside in a bowl to cool.
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions. Sautée the onions till they turn brown, then add chopped garlic, add cut chillies. Add the chopped mushrooms and stir fry till water evaporates. (about 10 mins).
Now add the sautéed mushrooms to the mashed potatoes in a bowl. Add chopped coriander leaves, salt, pepper, corn flower and chili powder.
Keep bread crumbs ready in a separate bowl and place a frying pan over medium heat and pour oil in it.
Take small portion of the mushroom-mashed potato mixture and using your hands, shape them into cutlets and coat them with bread crumbs.
Once the oil is heated, add the cutlets and shallow fry them until they turn golden in colour from both the sides. Serve hot!
